"Last of Spring"

"Last of Spring"

Having been raised in a family of artists, I was encouraged to “see” the world around me in terms of light, shape and color. What I see in nature is the drama that occurs when shapes and colors contrast and interact. I can find excitement in a landscape that many might consider ordinary or uninteresting.  For me, bare trees, flat winter light, and dark forests provide an unending supply of visual interest. My paintings are born from my sometimes boring photos, but then I aim to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary!

I currently work out of my barn studio in Boulder Colorado.
